Hello and welcome!
My name is Selma. I was born on April 18th, 1960 in Pforzheim.
On this website I would like to introduce you to my creative side ... humor, writing, sewing, photography, garden design, vegetable-tanned leather, wool felt, embroidery (with machine), calligraphy, bags, shoes, accessories, old furniture, bookbinding, Writing books, postcards, business cards, flyers, roses, instructions for bags .... not everything is here to see, so check back again and again!
About the age of 10, I started sewing.
The work looked like this: A black dress with little white dots, from my grandmother Frida, was to be thrown away. But my mother took pity and I was allowed to have it! My mother donated a long piece of white lace and showed me how to sew a lockstitch on a sewing machine. So I had soon decorated Grandma's dress with the white lace and sewed in an adventurous seam, from the edge of the sleeve to the hem, and then wore it as a nightgown.
Later, at the age of fifteen, I discovered my passion for working with leather when my mother got a bag of craft leather to mount a swing. I cut out squares, glued them to nettle fabric, and zigzagged the pieces together. That's how I made cushions and belts ...
Why I have dedicated myself intensively for about 3 1/2 years with my creative side, or dedme, that has directly with my book "The Legacy of the 7th Perfume - Love"
to do ... but that's a long story. I will write that in Volume 2 of the "Legacy". It takes some more time....
Only so much in short form for those who do not know the book:
A chain of very adventurous events led me to the masterpiece of my great-great-grandfather, Gustav Jaeger, The Discovery of the Soul, a zoological plant. The word soul is here to be understood in its origin from Sanskrit, schuschma = ego fragrance. Not only did I discover that Patrick Süskind's 5-time great-grandfather was married to my 6-times great-grandmother, but also that homoeopathic globules of blond maiden hair, Anthropin No. 7 (the 7 in my book title is a nod on it), which had been manufactured 1879 by a Stuttgart pharmacy, the basis were to Süskinds work "the perfume". Gustav Jaeger had extensively researched the human inherent fragrance, and discovered in it the self-healing substance of man.
Incidentally, this scent is stored in woolen clothing and why wool was found twice as beneficial by Jaeger. -
After submission of my manuscript, to my then literary agent from Cologne, I was blackmailed. An already found publisher had offered much money for the purchase of the manuscript, but put two conditions:
1. I have to remove everything that has to do with Süskind. 2. I must agree that a ghostwriter would rewrite my true story into a fictitious novel to cover up the connection with Süskind, because no publisher in the world would hold his head for this explosive story. - My biography, a science thriller.
Why? Because "by chance" in the Jaeger work used by Süskind,
The discovery of the soul / 1883
, the scientific proof of homeopathy (based on highly diluted fragrances) is .. and no one may know. I had the choice that day: money or truth. I chose the truth. - So it came that day I jumped straight into the cold water and decided to layout my own book and to lay myself to save the truth and not to sell my manuscript as planned.
... and I imposed debts of around 80,000.- EUR by this decision .... I had not expected that the press would cover Süskind, so I would not have a chance to get the book on the market. But the story is still not over ... adventurous went / continues and new people entered the "Jaeger-Süskind-stage", z. B. Prof. Hans Rindisbacher, or currently Dr. Pia Fruth from SWR2. The radio station will broadcast a program about Gustav Jaeger tomorrow, Tuesday, October 15 at 8:30. - All have come by itself .... The whole crazy story, which has me firmly in control for more than 19 years, read it! .... HERE!
You can find my and Jaeger's books on my other website:www.anthropine.de-
PS: Incidentally, the word Anthropine had chosen my great-great-grandfather as the name for the individual fragrance of man, derived from the Greek word anthropos = man. Human scent. He found the fragrance abundantly in the fat of the skin and the hair of man (of course, also in animals, these beads he gave the name Animaline) and so it came that were soon made of human hair homeopathic beads, the Prof. Jaeger's Anthropinkügelchen, which In the end, I had to register for personal bankruptcy, closed my practice and dedicated myself to my creative side ....
I would decide everything again, only incidentally.
Again I would represent the truth and plunge myself vertically into the cold water. My ex-husband, dr. med. Lutz Grönbeck once said, "You do not need to worry about Selma, she's a cat, you can throw her out of the 7th floor, she'll be on her feet!" - - Hahaha, thank you Lutz! - Without you, there would not be a single book! ... because when I fell down, from the 7th floor, I wrote all the books ... If you had told me that the "flight" would take more than 20 years, I would have shown you the bird! - Today I have the feeling that I'm just racing past the first floor .... only a small somersault. -
I am sewing a bag at noon today.
You can dare everything. The world is yours, one spring long. - Oscar Wilde
Have fun here!
Best regards,
Your Selma, on October 14, 2019
